Wintry scene

We were supposed to be getting another two coats of paint on the living room today after yesterday's base coat, but it snowed all morning, the roads got quite bad and traffic built up so we didn't even attempt trying to get to the house.

We planned to go out for walk but then it started to rain quite heavily. That meant the roads cleared so we made it to the house this afternoon to get the second white base coat done before heading home again. This was a view on our way home after painting.

I am a little annoyed about the weather today... the snow cost me a morning's work at the house whereas if it had waited until tomorrow, I'd have got more done at the house today and would have had a snow day tomorrow, a bonus day off school, hehe!
ha ha.. never get it when we want !..bit Wuthering heights.. this tree

ah yes, I have my days that I put in my orders for snow. Not always delivered on the requested day, for sure.

Great angle and lovely swirly patterns. We had Simon Watkinson from Longnor nr Hartington at Camera club last night - fantastic monochrome work from the Peaks (and elsewhere) Wondered if you knew of him?

@dailydelight No, I don't think I've heard of him. I do follow a lot of Peak District photographers but the name is not familiar, but then I'm not a fan of monochrome! I know Longnor and Hartington very well though. My grandparents lived in Longnor throughout my childhood.
