This is amazing photo. Almost humorous, like something from Aesop's Fables. In fables frog would figure out the way to save itself but in your shot he is a gonner.

Glad you've enjoyed this entry. I feeling a bit "Aesop"y, but couldn't come up with a good moral. (Just memories of my dad's story about the "eagle and the frog", but that's a story for another time! LOL

Glad you liked this shot. No tripod by the way, but I was fortunate in that; 1, the turtle didn't spook and swim off, which they usually do, and 2, that the heron didn't throw down the frog as quickly as they often do. They both* (turtle and heron) held the pose while I moved around to line them up the way I wanted them. *Poor frog didn't have much choice!
Turtle may be cross, but not half as "put out" as frog. ;-)
