One basking on her back, the other swam over for a quick "nuzzle". Hard to photograph, but they sure are fun to watch.

Danette, You may have guessed; location is Tivo viewing site in Apollo Beach. Nice little complex, free admission, and great manatee watching.

I didn't know your location. We used to be able to watch them in Ft. Lauderdale, but no longer. I found there are about 5 really good sites around the state and I plan to stop by one in Ft. Myers in a few weeks.

This is actually the same place I stopped by! One day I'll go up to the springs so I can see them more clearly. I was told that the males will flip on their backs in the courting process.
