Although the second chick that hatched was quickly lost, this one is doing well and appears ready for some flight training. I love the fact that the absence of any "wake" is proof of how comfortable it was to my drifting within 10 feet or so. No need for telephoto here!

Valerie and Koala, Thanks for the kind words. Relaxed, yes. I like to think we've developed a rapport though in truth I suspect most any quiet, respectful kayaker would be treated the same.
