Hoping this isn't a repeat. Have seen a few in the neighborhood lately. Have logged many failed attempts at capturing this beautiful red bird. This is as close as I've come so far. As the winter snows melt and my meddlesome hip continues to heal I plan to offer more current work.
So nice to hear from you all. Slowly getting back into the game. Made the "old" mistake of going for a walk yesterday without my camera. Wouldn't you know a gorgeous Downey Woodpecker insisted on posing on a branch about 12 feet distant. Still a nice memory, though.
