I have a dedicated macro but I had to play with a reversed lens set up just for fun. Bought an adapter for Canon EF bodies and used an old 50mm f1.8 FD mount lens. The more techniques the merrier.
Brilliant shot and love your title!
Btw...thanks so much for identifying the butterfly I shot yesterday! You are a hive of information :-D and it is much appreciated by myself and my family, who by now are probably sick to death of my googling my life away!
Love the caption! And a fantastic shot.
Re your comment: No salties in these parts (not yet, anyway; I believe they're advancing down the coast with global warming). Plenty of sharks, though, so he'll be lucky not to get taken from the ocean or river one day.
Nice shot, only just read about reverse lens technique on the former, would never have gotten that idea to try for myself :-) Will have to experiment with it though, sounds intriguing.
