Crab Spider by robv

Crab Spider

This is a male Crab spider, family Thomisidae. Just looks a bit odd, color and setation reminds me of a Lynx spider.
Man.. That is awesome!

Fantastic closeup!! Maybe it is a different type of lynx?? The butt doesn't quite look like what I've seen on the green lynx spiders that I've seen? I don't know!

Great shot! It looks kind of like a lynx to me too.

Definitely a male. Possibly a lynx. Do you have more photos at different angles? Possibly a Thomisid?

@kimmistephens Posted a different view, looks more like a Thomisid in that one. Still the color and setation are odd, the eyes don't match Lynx spiders I've seen before.

@robv I am having trouble seeing the eyes but here is a good eye guide for spiders

I'm scared of spiders, so it's a good thing you take this pictures and I can look at them from behind my screen. Cool!

@kimmistephens Looks like it is a Thomisid, possibly the genus Misumenops. Thanks for the link, it helped.
