Tasmanian Devils at Biceno

We haven't seen any in the wild - they are now classified as endangered. These were at a wonderful sanctuary which participates in a a breeding program. It would be kind to say that they are feisty!
This is wonderful especially the hand washing!

Interesting to watch. I loved hearing all the bird calls in the background. They do look cute, but those teeth reveal another side that's not so cute!

@jgpittenger Hi Jane - that was what fascinated me too - they can be so ferocious and then chew up bones and all - and then wash their hands and faces!! All neat and tidy! LOL Glad you liked it. Cheers Rob

@olivetreeann Hi Ann - thanks for your comment. These ones were cute but I think the few that are still found n the wild are pretty battle scarred - they are totally anti-social!! Fascinating to watch. Cheers

That would be incredible to see! Great there is a sanctuary to help breed more of these endangered animals.

I didn't realise we could add videos as well. Maybe I should make that a project for 2018; add at least one video a month.

Just went to the upload page and see the YouTube embed box at the bottom. Now I have something more to think about.

That was brilliant to watch, thank you! I love Tasmanian Devils - adorable to watch and yet so ferocious too........that eerie screech that gave them their name is just blood curdling! Loved hearing the bird calls too.

@dkbarnett Hi Delwyn - it is an excellent endeavour. I made a short video of the quolls too - they were also wonderful to see - one species is actually extinct on the mainland. The video appears on my "all albums" section - looks like another photo of a devil! I'm afraid it won't let me give you the link - must be because it's a video?

@taffy Thanks for your interest in the devils - this was the closest we've ever been to them - it was extremely interesting - and an extremely well organized sanctuary. Their quoll breeding program was also amazing. I made a little video of them too if you are interested - it appears in the other albums sections and looks a little like another photo of a devil. Quolls are extremely cute! Cheers Rob
