Not really a photo! by robz

Not really a photo!

This was just a bit of an experiment with colours. It was one plain photo revamped into different colours and combined to trial various colour combinations. This is all new to me so I tried to have several combinations. The yellow-green blend, the blue-green and the blue- purple are analogous relationships, the yellow-purple and blue-orange are complementary ( I think!) Nothing seemed to fight too much -- although the orange-purple seemed a bit off.
I love this. Well done for getting started so early in the week. Given that everything is grey in England I think I am going to have to set up some sort of still life

Laughing as blue and orange are University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana which is the main campus of the university system in our state, and one of my alma maters. They do look a little jarring in places other than t-shirts, caps, sport uniforms, etc.

@sarahlth Hi Sarah - I found it quite difficult to find something fitting out in the paddocks. LOL Green, blue and yellow are OK - others not very present. A still life sounds like a good option - gives you more control. Will look forward to seeing it! Cheers.

@taffy Sorry to cast Nasturtiums ( as my kids would say!) against your alma mater's colours! :) Maybe that combination was chosen on purpose to create tension and excitement. I guess harmonious colours are not the thing for sporting teams!! This whole colour thing is very interesting. Cheers for now Rob

Not sure what it was to start with, but it looks like a spot light aimed at the star of the show now.

@olivetreeann Hi Ann - that star of the show sort of reminds me of a strange bird's head. :) And the editing program put that eye in as part of the border! Weird - but I liked the eye! Thanks for your interest. Cheers

Very modern art! I like geometry, and the result of your experiment is very impressive,
