Mundane leaf by robz
I love the droplets on the web lines - it makes this seem like a kite flying off into the blue, held down by those lines!

@casablanca I love your analogy of the tethered kite! You have such a wonderful imagination. After reading the conversations which your astronaut started I am a bit worried if I should be saying that I have edited this background quite severely. I have always assumed that people would know that - there's no way my camera ( or me) could get this image as SOOC ? And the photo was very ordinary with all of the trees in their natural state!! :)

@robz Don’t be nuts!! You’re not someone who hides it and pretends. That’s my pet hate! I love the things you create, your skills have come on leaps and bounds this past year. I don’t hate processing, just dishonesty. You are one of the people that got me interested in trying processing. 😀

Great editing. I wouldn't have realised all the work that went into this image if you hadn't pointed it out. Love how the leaf looks like it is floating in thin air and the waterdroplets on the web lines.

Very nice painting-like image! Fav

Lovely! I like what you've done to emphasize the leaf.

@casablanca You are always so down to earth and positive!! Thank you so much for what you said above! I feel so much better now and I'll just continue to say when something is totally SOOC and assume people realize that everything else has been processed to some extent or another. I was so chuffed about your comments on my skills - it's been a huge year with steep learning curves and just so much fun! And your continued good cheer has been a big part of it. So, onwards to another good year - Yeaa! Cheers Rob

@sangwann Hi Dione - thanks so much for your feedback - that floating look was exactly what I was trying to get, so your comments are so helpful. Cheers Rob

@caterina Hi Caterina - after reading your comment I had a look at the photo again - the background does have a watercolour feel to it! Thanks for your feedback - Cheers Rob

@taffy Hi Taffy - this is yet another spot-metering result. It made it much easier to fade the background out..... :)

@robz I am so sorry to have worried you - I expressed myself badly, I think. My apologies. Glad to have made you smile again. I always look forward to coming over to your page to see what you have done, you have such interesting ideas and a great sense of humour too. You're one of my 365 top favourites :) Heaps of love to you today, keep up the good work!

@casablanca Hey - no need to apologize - I can see where you are coming from and after reading your previous post I felt positively positive!! I now have a really good idea of what disclosures are needed and what aren't so it's all good. And you are too kind with your words above, but it sure does make my day. :) So, here's to 2018 and lots of good fun, good humour and (hopefully) good (or at least not so bad!) photos. And to maybe sharing a coffee in London!!! :)
