Oh no - not dust on the grapes!!! by robz

Oh no - not dust on the grapes!!!

The road to our house also goes past a very large vineyard and winery. The local council has started an ongoing series of road works. It's dusty, noisy, annoying work - and it's putting dust onto the current vintage!!
Nice DOF. I like the red in the foreground with all the dust in the back

Your capture really describes the situation. Here, these last years, there is ongoing building projects which very often fill the air around them full of dust. And the big machinery used in building very often hamper the movement of traffic causing a lot of delays for commuters.

@casablanca Hi Casablanca - thanks for your nice comment about the composition - I had lots of time to think about it while we waited for him to let us go! Robert, who owns this winery, will be very annoyed - he's quite famous for his Verdelho!! :)

@sangwann Hi Dione - the cost of progress do you think - or big money talking? This road is used quite a lot by the trucks belonging to one of the biggest agricultural concerns in our district!! Thanks for having a look! Cheers Rob

@mv_wolfie Ahh Mariana - a very philosophical way of looking at things. I like it - I'll remember your comment next time I'm complaining about them - I'm sure it will be good for the blood pressure!! :) Cheers Rob

@suzanne234 @olivetreeann Hi Suzanne and Ann - great news - Ann was correct - we've had rain in Stanthorpe and I'm pretty sure the grapes are now AOK! Next years Verdelho should be fine. :) Cheers Rob
