The 52week challenge for week 16 is "portrait lighting". I read up on it - it sounded very technical - and then the plan met another hurdle - Errol did NOT want to sit for a portrait! So it was just me and my camera - not easy to do either might I add... And then each of those tricky lighting possibilities all did the same thing - made every wrinkle and sunspot show up forty times over. So, I'm afraid my entry for week 16 has a different type of lighting - nearly none at all! After a bit ( actually a lot) of editing this was the best that I could do. Week 16 - not a favourite....
@taffy LOL Taffy - I was so annoyed about it all that I didn't even twig that the final selfie was actually a very good reflection of how I felt! Thanks for that very accurate comment! Cheers Rob.
I think you've done very well. Something sad and almost Rembrandt about the colour and lighting here and your expression. I love wrinkles and sunspots and surgery scars - I think of them as my badges of survival!
@casablanca Hi Casablanca - thank you so much for your encouraging comments- portraits are really not my cup of tea. A lack of guinea pigs is also a problem. :) I usually don't fret about wrinkles etc - but the lighting mentioned in the online articles was all a bit too terrifying..... LOL
@suzanne234 Hi Suzanne - thank you so much for your encouragement. Errol is usually pretty helpful - I chose a bad time - he was ensconced in "his" chair doing "his" puzzles!! LOL
