@golftragic We've had quite a few negatives - and, like crazies, we've decided to go to Lightning Ridge for an explore - I think it might be chilly in the van!!
@casablanca I did love your nice comments -- especially about the POV. It was very carefully chosen to be as good as possible - as long as I didn't have to get out of the car!! :)
@golftragic We're going with Anna and Alex (our two girls) in Aug and Sept. They've organized quite a circuit - Edinburgh (for the fringe festival), Copenhagen, Oslo, Kirkenes, Coastal cruise down to Bergen, Helsinki, Tallin, Iceland and London. It should be really good - if somewhat cold!!
OMG, I'm turning green with envy. What a fabulous trip, I expect to see lots of great photos from your Grand Tour. Are you doing guided tours, or flying solo?
@golftragic Mostly just us - except for the cruise down the Norwegian Coast - that was pretty impossible to do any other way. We'll probably do several of the local walking tours - they are usually very good. And, of course, Alex wants to do a day where you sail a Viking Boat! We've hired a car in a few places - that should be interesting - last time we did that we got lost in the Spanish countryside - no one spoke English!! Should all be OK - we hope! Cheers Rob
@robz Oh wow, you're game. Sounds like a fabulous trip, bet you're excited about it all. We've got the the stage where we prefer to go with one of the tour companies, saves all sorts of potential hassles. Just rock up and go with the flow.
@golftragic That should be fabulous too - Delwyn's photos have been incredible! I think I would go with a tour group there - it is so out of our comfort zone. A bit scary! :)
