I just had to thank you all for your lovely comments on this image - it has actually been shown on both the popular page and the trending page (Actually, I don't really know how these pages differ?) Anyway, it was very nice to realize that so many of you liked these orchids. I have to explain a little though - they are growing in our forest - but most of them are not natives there. Over about 25 years we have planted about 200 different orchids (big, small, spectacular exotic ones, tiny little native ones, terrestrial and epiphytic) in our small forest - once out there they have to survive by themselves - remarkably most of them are pretty tough!
