At least the trees are green....

This nice little picnic area at Donnelly's Castle has some interesting short walks up to a series of caves and a lookout. It is terribly dry but not burnt out, and the trees are still green.
Your title says it all. It looks like quite a drought despite the greenery in the trees. Wishing you get some rain soon!

This could be any park around here in the fall. Our climates seem similar only opposite. We’ve got more rain than we know what to do with for a change. Looks like a nice place to walk and unwind.

Looks like a wonderful place to walk. I hope you get rain soon.

Thank goodness for green trees :)

Good evening Rob (or should I better say good morning to you?), I like your colourful pictures of nature and I'm again and again stunned by the creatures and plants you got in Australia. How about putting one of those into an environment you wouldn't expect it to be - you can put it there physically or via processing. Let me know if you're fine with this challenge.

@toinette Yea Marie - I love doing composites so this is an excellent challenge. Thanks very much. Cheers Rob

Sure looks very dry. Same down here. Had a couple of ml overnight, first fall for ages and ages.

Looks like a great camping/picnic spot.
My sister is out at Clifton (near Toowoomba), she reports the official rain tally each month. They had 1 ml for February and 5 ml for January, just terrible for the poor farmers.

Looks like a great place to explore. Still very dry down here too. We had 4 mm rain a couple of days ago, but that hasn't done much for the garden.

@onewing Hi Babs - that's the trouble isn't it - even when it does rain it's only a few mm - does nothing for most of the garden, paddocks etc.

@bella_ss Yes - we have driven through Clifton a few times. Those rain falls are terrible - virtually nothing for 2 months. It seems to feel like it's never going to rain again! P.S. - thanks again for organizing the voting for the challenge!

@golftragic That's basically what Babs said too - and that's what happens here - virtually useless.....

@gilbertwood Yes - at least we have trees in our area - a lot of the farming areas nearby are pretty well all paddocks - they look terribly depressing....
March 11th, 2019
@jacqbb Thanks Jacqueline - everybody on property near us is getting very depressed - in some cases there is no water for their stock...

@shutterbug49 Hi Shutterbug - it is a lovely spot for a walk - interesting that it is so similar to your parklands. Hopefully we will get some rain as it cools down.

@taffy Thanks Taffy - our rain used to be in summer - but it seems too hot at the moment - the rains now tend to come in the cooler seasons. We have our fingers crossed!

@robz No trouble Rob :)

Hope the rain comes soon, the ground looks so dry!
March 11th, 2019
@robz Yep, got it in one. Very worrisome.
March 12th, 2019
it is a worry when there is such dry grass- or none !
March 12th, 2019
@fr1da Hi Frida - most of the paddocks in our area have none at the moment. But we have had bad fires - mainly in the National Parks which is such a shame. And still no rain - many dams are dry and people are having trouble finding water for stock. Lots of crossed fingers up this way!

@overalvandaan Thanks Saxa - it's really very bad at the moment!
