What friends are for.....

Oh I do like this

Your challenge for this week is to shoot through distraction it takes a bit of playing with DoF. For example, shoot through a fence, people or tall grasses. The foreground blurred with the subject being in focus. Does that make any kind of sense? It could also be called selective focus.

@lynbonn This sounds like a really interesting concept. Thanks so much! Cheers Rob

Very nice minimalist shot. Lots of negative space to give the sense of the infinity of the sea. Fav

I love your series of couples near the water with lots of negative space. Very poetic. Fav

Such storytelling image, and I agree with @caterina 's assessment that this is poetic, indeed.

Thanks FB, Babs, Peter, Jane, Jacqueline, Saxa, Marnie, Shutterbug, Frida, Caterina and Junko. I do appreciate all of your comments as it is great feedback for what I was trying to do. I was aiming to use these in the current "scenesfromthe road" challenge which has an added interest this time in that it is involving Nils Karlson in the judging. A couple of his images were what prompted these. I've included the link to the challenge if you are interested in having a look. Thanks again for your comments.
