ABSOLUTELY- do not touch! I was shocked the other day to get in my car and find a White Tussock Moth caterpillar clinging to my jeans. I have no idea how he got on there as I'd just finished the food shopping! Maybe he was on the back bumper but at any rate- they look very similar to this fellow and if you touch them their poisonous bristles will give you a burning rash. Needless to say I opened the car door, grabbed a CD case and flicked him off my leg and on to the pavement! Good for you in being able to get the shot!
