Blackdown Tableland N.P. #2 by robz

Blackdown Tableland N.P. #2

This N.P. is in the middle of a dry, ugly coal mine region. It's such a contrast - but still pretty dry at the moment. This is one of the eroded rock pools in the bottom of the creek bed. Usually these are full of water and the creek is overflowing into the pool below the waterfall.
Fabulous shot and shadows.

@wakelys Hi Susan - yep - that's me in my hiking hat - the shadow seemed to give more of an idea of how deep these potholes are. :)

@caterina Thanks Caterina - I found these potholes so interesting - and the fern growing in that one just showed how dry it has been for a very long time. This should have been full of water.... :)
