The first one which I think actually qualifies for the black and white low key challenge. I think!?
Great composition and use of tones.

No expert in low key but I love this

Not sure how low-key it would be considered with the stark contrast of black and white (in the thumbnail the other shot which is similar looks more low-key to me) but I love the movement and abstract quality of the folds. fav

@olivetreeann Hi Ann - thanks for taking the time to mention this - it's the first time I've had anything to do with this concept so I'm afraid I just relied on the histogram for the photo. It was all down the dark end with one tiny little blip for the white streaks? Better to just rely on a visual assessment maybe? Good chance to have another go!! Thanks also for for your nice comments and the fav! Cheers Rob

@dkbarnett Thank you Delwyn. The low key concept seems a bit tricky - I now fear that this one is not quite right either. Chance to try again!. Cheers

So glad that you are watching the histogram and really experimenting.
Yep - the white lines and bit of shine do move this excellent shot from a true low key - but I absolutely love the abstract look to it.

I have been thinking about this while looking into what qualifies as a low key and I think this is one. Sometimes things are so subjective ...
