Wineglass Bay, Freycinet Peninsular East Coast, Tasmania

This beach has been voted one of the best in the world. Seems a bit of an oversell - it is in a great setting and has lovely white sand - but as a Queenslander I could probably name a few beaches which are as good. :)

It does look as though it would be lovely, but I'm really not sure how anyone could name a beach as the best in the world !!

@shilohmom Thanks Batya - one of the joys of 365 is seeing images of other countries - I am often amazed by your landscapes that you post - so different. :)

@dkbarnett Very true - but it has somehow gained that label - and boy, is it being used!! So many tourists from all over the world go there just to climb the very steep path and take this photo - most don't actually go down to the beach!! Quite funny really.

@peadar Hi Peter - apparently it is just gorgeous when the sun comes out (which didn't seem to happen much when we were there LOL ) The water is a brilliant turquoise. Thanks for having a look. Cheers
