The old orchard on the farm has lots of fruit trees - but none of them are much good. These apples are very cute - only about 1.5 inches across and a lovely colour - but they get no bigger and taste terrible.
What a delicate blush! In the hedgerows here we have small apple trees, probably sprouted from seed, producing small, sour apples.Used to make crab apple jelly, an accompaniment to cold meats.
@woofandweft1 I should try them for something like that - at the moment they all just fall off - our dog likes eating them after they have rotted nicely!! YUK!
