Any Dazed & Confused fans out there? Charlie finished first grade today, and all I can think of is Alice Cooper's refrain "School's out for the summer!" Yay! (Too bad work isn't out for the summer, but I'll take what I can get. .... I'm sure by August I will be ready for Charles to be back in school, lol....)
This photo reminds me of when summer holidays seemed to stretch on forever: bare feet, water balloon fights, swimming at the public outdoor pool, the ice cream truck!
@marieooi I shot this around 7:30ish (my camera clock gets off every time I change the battery), so the lighting was already sort of soft and hazy, but I layered tones on through picmonkey.com. I don't keep track of what I do, but I probably used the effects called dusk/tranquil and time machine on it -- and I fade out each layer quite a bit so that the effect is more subtle with each one.
Great shot Robyn! Yay for the end of school! We're right in the middle of the school year at the moment, our school summer holidays start mid December!
