Today is April 8, 2010. Ah, spring is definitely in the air, the birds are chirping, the trees are budding, and as usual a wicked snow storm blows in. Just yesterday I was barbequeing in a t-shirt, neighbors where cleaning up their lawns, some even going so far as getting their sprinklers out to get a head start on greening things up. I took a picture today of a of a warm sunny morning. Today's storm hit during the 5 o'clock afternoon rush, with winds gusting up to 90, and blowing snow causing white out conditions. Power was out everywhere, resulting in traffic chaos. I was able to ditch the public transit I was on since it was stuck in traffic due to the power problems, and I walked the rest of the way home. I was literally blown away by the howling winds and the horizontal flying snow, but it made for some great photo ops! Here's the best of the lot.
Sounds just like what happened here last week. I I hate the weather, but I must say this is an amazing shot. I absolutely love the path going down the middle, and the snow clinging to the new leaves really illustrates the season.
