Broadway Tower by rosie00

Broadway Tower

This folly was built in 1798 on the Cotswold escarpment and apparently on a clear day you can see 16 counties.
Wow Lesley - this really fits the term "Folly" What an incredible building to be freestanding.

@robz There are a few exhibitions on different floors, one has a collection of William Morris designed fabrics, as he spent a lot of time there, and one about World War II as the tower was used by the civil defence to track aircraft. A RAF bomber crashed next to the tower and none of the crew survived.
