Traveled to visit family in Phoenix, AZ. This is the landscape at sunset. The back-lit cactus are called "teddy-bear" cholla. Pretty in the light, but they can cling to you with their thorns. I won't have much time for commenting over the next few days, since we are traveling. I hope to catch up with everyone after this weekend.

this is a grogeous landscape shot!! Love how the cacti are light up from the back!! beautiful effect! and the half cactus on the right side makes the frame pop!
Wow, gorgeous, almost alien landscape! I like the crazy mix of broken and smooth lines - the edginess of the mountains and the roundness of the cacti - all mixed in in a intricate light-filled pattern.
