One more for the "mundane-stairs" theme. Union Station is an old St. Louis train station with a hotel attached. These stairs lead up to the hotel's front doors, with a stained glass triptych above. I chose black and white to emphasize the lines and textures, but the color version is very opulent and vibrant. Maybe I did not choose wisely... who knows?
Thanks for taking time to visit and comment, as time permits. I appreciate each one.

Fantastic on many levels -- the architecture is such a beautiful classic style and you've captured it well with symmetry that's spot on. I like the b&w version.
These stairs are all but mundane! This is immaculate: such a perfect pov, composition and symmetry. Regarding the B&W choice, I think you have chosen very wisely: the opulence of the colour version, from your description, would certainly not have fitted into any mundane theme, while the B&W simply forces attention to the structure and symmetry. I think this is one instance where colour and B&W should not be "compared" to pick a winner: each one probably is a winner in it's own right and it would be unfair to play them off against each other. This is stunning, by the way!
Super shot, wonderfully symmetrical. I am busy playing catch up on commenting (I always seem to these days) and agree funny that we both headed of to the Union Stations in our cities.
