My pup has a dew claw infection, so she is forced to wear the plastic Elizabethan collar colloquially known as the "Cone of Shame." Even the vet told me this. ;) Poor thing. She is highly resentful of the entire thing and has tried strong-arming my daughter into removing it... "just for a minute." Lots of carrying the dog, over here.

Oh poor little pup! Such a sweet face begging you to take it off! Finlay had to wear one once and kept bumping into the door frame as he ran out - he couldn't judge how wide he was! It was very funny!
Laughed so hard and it's a perfect title. I've used that term in fact -- so it is very widespread. Our dog used to hate it and never could figure out the space it took up (sometimes got 'stuck' in a doorway -- but she was an 85 pounder so it did make her a super-wide). Hope she heals soon.
