My MIL gave me an orchid for my birthday last week. I finally had time to make a picture of it, with focus-stacking to bring out the details as best I could. I combined nine shots to make this picture. I am offering it in sadness to Gena Pegg and her family; Gena lost her son-in-law a few days ago.
Thanks for stopping by, especially as this is such a ridiculously busy time for so many of us.

Happy Belated Birthday greetings . . . what a beautifully photographed flower! That focus stacking sure seems to make things very three-dimensional. Must try it. And yes, what a lovely tribute to Gena's son-in-law.
@darylo Thanks, Daryl! :) I wish I had used a smaller aperture for each of the different photos... there are patches that are not fully in focus, but live and learn. One of these days, I'lll get around to putting some of my shots up. Thanks for the nice comments.
Happy birthday to you too!
