CTA - Leaving the L

A street shot from the elevated train line, Chicago. I love these grungy old spaces. One of these days, maybe tomorrow, I'll get my camera out again. Not today, though... too busy at work and home.

Thanks for putting "Bean" on the TT this week. It made me really happy to see it there, since we were all together in Chicago together.

Enjoy the weekend and thanks so much to taking time to visit.
Amazing capture, love it:)

A lot to see. I wonder re ever so slightly blurring and darkening the areas right and left below the walkway?

I love the way the L has provided us with some grungy shots!! Great processing here - the light on the floor is lovely and those lines take you right into the shot!! Fav!

@maree_sanderson Sure! I imported the shot into Lightroom. I straightened it, cropped it, leveled it. I did some basic exposure work there. Then, I took it into Photoshop, where I did some work on contrast and tone. In Photoshop, I used a Nik filter (Color Efex), to bring out some detail and improve contrasts/mid-tones. Then, I saved it, which takes it back to Lightroom. I think I used one of my black & white presets in LR (I got some freebies from Hacking Photo), to turn it into a black and white photo. I could have done the same thing in PS, with Silver Efex, but I just didn't (for some random reason). Hope this helps! :)
