Amelia Earhart flew this Lockheed 5B Vega for two of her record-setting flights... In 1932 she flew it alone across the Atlantic Ocean, and then (same year) flew it nonstop across the United States; both firsts for a woman. Shot in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Washington, DC.
The technological advancements, between this plane, and the Spirit of St. Louis, of just a few years earlier, are amazing.
She called it "her Little Red Bus," hence the title. It was sleek and fun, but a crowded space in which to shoot, so there you go.
Thank you, so much, for all of the love that you showed to both of my Union Station shots... both yesterday and a few days ago. That space is great... I suspect that so many of you could have done considerable justice to that structure. :)
Enjoy your week, as you can, and thanks for visiting.
