OK, so my college aged daughter and her roommates are giving in to their caregiver instincts and have become "moms" to baby rats. It's fall break, so they are home with us for the week.
Meet Lila. Her friends are Mabel and Button. (OMG). They are so sweet and very clean, with long whiskers and a shy demeanor. They move around like crazy, so a clean shot is not easy.

@maggiemae I was not a fan, either. These babies were intended for snake food (ack!), so I am feeling better about this project. I think they are to be cuddled by college students for 3-ish years (their lifespan), then be done.
Can't believe I'm having a rat - we live near a canal and I'm not keen on the ones we have but this little rat is absolutely gorgeous - love those whiskers. FAV
Precious beyond pieces!!! When my daughter had pet rats, friends took to calling me Rat Mama! Not sure I was all on board with that name, but I did love the rats!
