There is a museum in Washington D.C. called "The National Building Museum." Of course, it is about buildings, in their many facets. A lovely space, often used for Inaugural Balls (the new President dances with his wife on the fountain, covered up with a dance floor). The first inaugural ball was held for President Grover Cleveland, in 1885.
Designed by Montgomery Meigs, of Civil War fame, the building was finished in 1887.
I really loved this space. :). Best part... lots of families, with young children, running around on the carpet. Plus, the architect worried a lot about having lots of light and fresh air for the employees, who were pension bureau drones.

They had a Cherry Blossom family event there this past year that I attended. I took the tour and was able to go to the very top. What an amazing building. Great capture 😃
