Recycling Knowledge

More "mannequins on the Loop" fun... the theme for this year is "How Do You Recycle Knowledge?"

We have some decorated recycled discs with an excellent Nelson Mandela quote.

I had to replace the background, so thanks to Jessi Pena, of Unsplash, for that. Practice, practice. :)

Thanks for visiting. I appreciate it, very much.
Great choice for the background. You might want to blur the edge just a tiny bit so it doesn’t look like a cut out

@jgpittenger You'll have to give me some first-hand pointers in the near future... I am looking forward to some tips, as you have lots of wisdom to share here. :)

What did you use to make the selection?

Very creative!

@jgpittenger quick selection tool... it is kind of painstaking, despite the name, because of the brushes. I have been too lazy to learn the pen tool.

Well done. Very creative!

Life is too short to wrestle with the pen tool IMHO. Love this shot, very creative. Great quote too.

A fabulous image.

When you use the quick selection tool, do you feather the edge? Or go into select and mask to feather the edge? Another option would be to use a very low opacity brush to paint around the edge of the mask to make it softer

Also the background and cut out look slightly different WB...sometimes I add a color filter over the top and it helps it seem more coherent. To me the place that the cut out looks most obvious is the viewers left on the arm esp cially

Oh, how cool. Haven't been to the Delmar Loop in....I can't even remember how long. There used to be a Comic Book store there that my hubby and boys liked to visit occasionally.
