The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo lets the kids feed lettuce to the giraffes (you buy the lettuce, of course!). Much enjoyed by children and animals, alike. The giraffes would just stick out their tongues and the kids would place the lettuce. It was very fun to see. More Colorado fun.

What an amazing tongue!! It makes for a very cute scene.
Did you get to see the baby wolves? When we were there, they were only 6 weeks old and sleeping in the cave so they were basically blobs on the remote camera they (zookeepers, not proud parent wolves) had set up.
Fabulous! I love giraffe tongues. The giraffe at the St. Louis Zoo used to stick their heads through the railing and lick the sign in front, always made my kids giggle.
The first time I saw a giraffe's tongue I was surprised at its length. But I guess it makes sense since they eat leaves out of the tops of trees. Cool capture!
