Green

The color version of my succulent for today. I found out that, if I apply a black and white layer to the image in photoshop, then use "soft light" on it, it creates some really lovely effects on the different colors and shades.

If I don't post it in my alternates album, I'll forget about it. :) I don't usually suggest this, but it really is crisper on black.

More fun at the Botanical Garden today. Thanks for taking time to visit.

Lovely shot and processing, that green positively glows. I'm itching to try out the b&w layer thing. I often sharpen my shots in PS using layers but haven't tried out the technique you suggested.

certainly is a great effect. seems quite similar to the dramatic filter in-camera - but obviously in ps you'd have much more control. i'm going to give it a try, if i may?
