The color version of my succulent for today. I found out that, if I apply a black and white layer to the image in photoshop, then use "soft light" on it, it creates some really lovely effects on the different colors and shades.
If I don't post it in my alternates album, I'll forget about it. :) I don't usually suggest this, but it really is crisper on black.

Lovely shot and processing, that green positively glows. I'm itching to try out the b&w layer thing. I often sharpen my shots in PS using layers but haven't tried out the technique you suggested.
certainly is a great effect. seems quite similar to the dramatic filter in-camera - but obviously in ps you'd have much more control. i'm going to give it a try, if i may?
