Bas, our cockatoo

This is Bas - I don't usually take photos of him in his cage as he's usually out with us. He comes to bed with me every morning. I go downstairs and make coffee and take Bas upstairs and he loves to get under the covers and snuggle up. He's just like a little child. When he's had enough he comes out and flies from one end of the bed to the other so that he can land on Steve my husband's shoulder while he sits up and drinks his coffee and he keeps doing it until he finally decides to fly down and look at himself in the full length mirror. Then it's time for him to go downstairs and back in his cage for breakfast which he sits and eats with us in the conservatory.

I do love cockatoos; we went to a holiday cottage in Australia some years ago & as we arrived a cockatoo (tame) was sitting in a tree & called a welcome to us from on high, special memories brought back by one picture, thanks!
