The Artist's Cottage

This cottage is just up the road from me and belonged to an old friend who was an artist. He was a retired architect but it is a beautiful example of the thatched cottages we have in our area. I was in a dilemma as to what to upload today as Fiona & Phil pheasant had been in the garden this morning and I have taken quite a few pics of birds, unusual varieties of ducks as well as a few cottages so I may upload them another day. It was just getting towards dusk when I took this - hence the light in the window
Wonderful cottage!

cool cottage! the lighting gives a nice warmth. one thing that seems to get my attention in shots like this is how close the bottom of the door is to the ground. we don't see that here.

What a lovely cottage and the light in the window makes it perfect! It has such a B&W feel to it even though it isn't and I think the little yellow light would be perfect for the theme this week. You need to enter it, Rosie. It could win!

What a unique roof. We do not have any homes with roofs like this in New England. It is such a quaint cottage. Nice shot.
