I did my bit for RSPB between 2.30 and 3.30 this afternoon and I counted 46 chaffinches which are the most common birds I get in my garden followed by 24 goldfinches and 20 greenfinches. I liked this pic because it shows the sun was shining on his little body
A beautiful shot!! You're meant to count the most which come into the garden at any one time,and record the highest number.Birds are sadly lacking in my garden,despite the food I put out!! Maybe it's because next door's cat spends so much time in our garden.
See we may have got waxwing but we didn't get any of those - did get excited by a female blackcap the other day though but she's probably abandoned me now the snow's gone.
@carolmw I should have read what you are supposed to do but I haven't submitted anything to RSPB yet. I will have to estimate how many birds I had at any one go which shouldn't be too difficult. I am a silly billy!
