This redwing just sat in the sun and I walked all around this tree to get pics from different angles. I think he was enjoying the sun and I know I certainly was! The wind was cold but if you found a sheltered spot, it was actually quite warm. I've taken over 200 pics today and it's always difficult choosing which ones to post but I hope this is a good start to the weekend for everyone and that you like this pic
@snowy The secret is to wear inconspicuous clothing, walk quietly, listen to see where you can hear the birds and then look for them without making it too obvious. I tend to walk through fields and get off the beaten track so that I don't meet too many dog walkers or children as the birds don't tend to like the noise they make!
@mejbronant I am lucky because I only work 4 hours a day usually so I go out walking in the afternoons. It gives me a chance to look out for different birds.
Beautiful shot Rosie...is there a song or a poem about the Redwing...I haven't seen one before but something about it rang a bell! We have Redwing Blackbirds over here.
