I had a long talk with a couple of people who had walked from Moggerhanger via Sheerhatch Wood and down through Wood Lane to Danish Camp. They had had lunch there and were on their way back. They saw me with my camera and realised straight away that I was trying to get pics of birds so asked me what I had seen. It makes a change to meet others who are interested in birds and of course I had to wait to see the yellowhammers. This little fellow kindly obliged by posing in the brambles for me. Farmers are doing such a lot of harm by clearing ditches and roadsides completely of habitat for the birds. I cannot understand how they can be allowed to get away with it.
