This was actually taken yesterday up Wood Lane but the weather has been so foul today, I've only got one from this morning which was taken through the kitchen window (can be found in my bits and bobs album). I met with Darren to talk about buying my new DSLR and he was a great help. I think I now know what I'm doing so now need to plan a trip to Cambridge to check I'm happy with the weight of the Nikon D7100 and also get an extra lens to go with it. Most important to check the weight again with the lens on the camera. I feel really excited. Then I'm going to book a day's basic course with Darren and follow it up with time at Old Warden Bird of Prey centre so that I can really learn about capturing birds! You will all know when the camera arrives because I will probably not be able to put it down! I'm like a child who is so full of anticipation! A late birthday present to myself I think.
A really lovely shot of this dove, the lighting in perfect, just as well you took it yesterday as everything is dripping wet today. Very exciting news about getting a new camera, keep us posted.
@janturnbull Thanks Janet. I just want to get even better shots - I'm totally obsessed with photography since I've been on this site! In fact, I think it's taken over my life. At least that's what Steve says and he moans because I don't do my share of the gardening!
haha....I hear you about it taking over your life...my hubby says if I'm not out taking photos (while walking the dogs...which has to be done of course) I'm on the computer editing them!!
