I am totally exhausted because I've walked nearly 5 miles today and I saw this peacock butterfly up at Sheer Hatch Wood which is along the top of Wood Lane. It is quite a walk and an uphill struggle by the time you get to the top. No wonder I'm worn out! However, it has been a truly splendid day with wall to wall sunshine and it was lovely to see butterflies. I saw a brimstone as well. I should sleep well tonight!
Smashing! Well done you for doing five miles. WE only managed a couple of miles but we too saw a Peacock butterfly like this one and a couple of Brimstone Yellows too.
