This was taken down Wood Lane this afternoon. This whitethroat was singing his heart out in the tree as I walked along. He does have a nest of chicks in the brambles so perhaps he was pleased that everything was going along fine! He did look as though he had a punky hairdo as his feathers were all ruffled up

Good news on the washing machine front - it has suddenly started spinning again so I'm glad I haven't ordered a new one! Hopefully, it will keep going.
