My friend the House Sparrow by rosiekind

My friend the House Sparrow

I don't very often get a chance to photograph the common House Sparrow as they are not so common these day. However, I saw this little fellow perching on a branch in Wood Lane this morning. I've only had to reset my router once this morning so I thought I would post my shots straight away before I go to the Hairdressers this afternoon and while the internet is working (fingers crossed).

Thank you for your kind comments and Favs and for getting so many of my images on PP - it never ceases to thrill me.
I have never seen a House Sparrow look so regal before. Usually they''re out and about stealing food & and out of eaves and little notches in buildings. What a beautiful post and a fav!!!

Lovely capture Rosie - especially as they don't stay still for long and move so quickly.

When I was a teenager I remember learning all the different kinds of sparrows that came to our feeders. But I did not find many sparrows coming to my feeder. Nice shot.
