That's what I felt like doing when I opened my emails at work this morning. LOL As I did the food shop yesterday, I popped over to the market in Kempston to buy lovely jumbo sized free range eggs from a lady who has a farm as they are always really lovely eggs and I like to support local farmers. On the way home, I stopped at Priory Country Park and walked through from the Business Park. As I crossed the bridge to Priory, I was there just in time to capture these swans taking off so it was a bit of luck really. I took some more shots but because there were a quite a few swans, some were cut off in their prime LOL. I decided to post this one which was one of the first I took and when something like this happens, I haven't always got the right shutter speed, etc as I use all manual settings but as luck would have it, they turned out OK.
Interestingly, like planes, swans and other birds take off towards the wind and you can see that from the direction the reed bed is blowing.
Thanks for getting both of yesterday's images of the long tailed tits on PP. It is always much appreciated.
Great shot - I like how the second one is echoing the lines of the first. It's always funny seeing seagulls on the beach - they all line up facing into the wind too :)
