This is another filler as it's wet and windy here today and I'm really fed up with the weather! I have been looking at wood burning stoves this morning and we think that with a few modifications, we can just fit one in to our fireplace. It would be a lot more warmer than it is at the moment because we could keep it alight all the time and probably less work for me cleaning it out each day as we have an open fire in our lounge at the moment.
This shot was taken at RSPB earlier in the week and it is a female great spotted woodpecker because she doesn't have red on her head which the male has.
Thanks for getting yesterday's kingfisher on PP and for getting the previous week's kingfisher on TT. I was really thrilled to see it there as I rarely have one in TT
