Mr & Mrs Siskin by rosiekind

Mr & Mrs Siskin

Although it is extremely windy with Storm Katie, I did go for a quick walk along Wood Lane but the birds were nowhere to be seen - no doubt sheltering somewhere. I had to resort to a shot through the kitchen window because the siskins are busy tucking into the finch food on the feeder hanging from the washing line.

Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs and for getting yesterday's lily on PP
Smashing shot. I haven't seen a Siskin around here for years but we do have a Jenny Wren who has just moved in so if I am lucky, I might be able to get a shot or two.

Poor little birds would have been blown away if it was as windy as here! Beautiful photo, well captured, love the inquisitive pose of the little fellow on the right.

I'm told we had a siskin visit our feeders last week. Now I can see exactly what they look out for I can look out for them. Mick has a Bedfordshire Bird club summer garden survey so we have to tick off all the ones we see feeding in our garden. So, thanks for this - lovely shot.
