A view from the boat

We have been for a trip down the river Great Ouse this morning on our friend's boat and it has been a lovely day. Steve has fixed the engine for them (not sure what was wrong with it and I don't ask!) and so we went for a lovely trip. This was just one of the shots I took as we drifted along. It is a shot of the Barnes Hotel (well part of it). 3 out of 4 people saw a kingfisher and guess who missed it - the only person with a camera (me) because I was the wrong side of the boat - Sod's Law!

I had a phone call from an insurance company when I returned home from the brook this afternoon and they were asking that Steve rang them. I soon found out why when he returned home as some old codger had reversed into his car when it was parked with him in it fortunately. Good job he was a decent bloke because his insurance company are going to sort it all out for him. It would have to be his BMW Z4 and not his old Cavalier!
