When I saw this very smart businessman on the platform while waiting for the L-train, I just had to ask him whether he would mind me taking a photo of him and he willingly obliged. He had such a nice face I felt confident that he would say yes. My friends then took photos too. I think you can approach people and take their photo if you are a reasonably good judge of character and I've never had a refusal. I also like taking shots of people when they are not expecting it and hopefully when I go to London tomorrow, I shall manage to get some more candid shots.

He does have a lovely smile. I bet you made his day. I never have a problem asking people if I can take their photo either and everyone I see are always friendly when I start chatting to them.
