I have probably walked further today than I have since my operation. First I went to see whether I could spot the red kites nest by driving down the farmer's track, but alas I didn't see them or the cows having their calves. Then I drove to dog field and had a walk around the pond and through the field. After that I drove to the Dovecote in the village, parked the car and then walked to the brook - the opposite end to where I usually go. I was really pleased to see the kingfisher flying along the brook and under the bridge but I didn't get any photos as I just stood there with my mouth open but enjoying the sight of him. This was all within a minute of me arriving! The brook further along was totally overgrown so I didn't venture any further and along the brook the other way which was where he went, it was a total no go area!
However, I did get a lot of photos of wild flowers and bugs so this is one of them
Thanks for getting a couple of my pics on PP yesterday and for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
Superb macro detail, colour and composition Rosie, good luck with your recovery, I smashed my leg up last year in a fall and was not able to walk for weeks so know it takes time to recover but you will soon be striding out the miles camera in hand:)
